Need Help with Tokocrypto SMS Codes or an Expired Phone Number? Here's How to Reset Them!

Have you ever faced difficulty receiving SMS verifications before? Or has the registered phone number gone missing or expired? Tokonauts, no need to worry; you can reset your SMS 2FA settings!

 

OTP SMS codes are typically sent in real-time to the registered phone number. However, if you are still waiting to receive the code within a certain period, please try to request the code periodically, not in quick succession or within the next 30 minutes.

 

What if you want to change the registered phone number to a new one? You can do that, Tokonauts! First, you can request a reset of the SMS 2FA from Customer Support through the live chat service. Here are the steps:

  1. Prepare photos of the following documents:
    • Original ID card photo
    • A self-portrait photo holding the original ID card and a piece of paper with the words "Reset Google Authenticator at Tokocrypto" written on it, including:
      1. Full name
      2. Submission date
      3. Original signature

2. Send the above documents through the live chat service for assistance from Customer Support.

 

Things to note before requesting a reset:

  1. The estimated completion time for a 2FA reset is 1x24 hours on working days and 2x24 hours on holidays.
  2. The attached documents must be original, not printed or photocopied, and not edited.
  3. The signature must be genuine.
  4. There will be no notification once the reset is done, so users should periodically check the 2FA settings on their accounts.
  5. After a successful reset, we advise users to re-enable two-factor authentication (2FA) as an additional security measure for their account.
  6. The withdrawal feature will be temporarily turned off for account security reasons for 3x24 hours after a successful reset.
