Tokocrypto KYC Levels: Limits and Benefits Explained

For some of you who are new to the world of crypto assets, the term KYC might be unfamiliar. KYC, short for Know Your Customer, is a method crypto asset traders use to identify their customers correctly. This is an effort to prevent money laundering and other crimes.

The KYC process is regulated by Indonesian Law No. 8 of 2010 concerning the Prevention & Eradication of Money Laundering, Article 18 paragraph 5, which states: "The principle of knowing service users must include identification of service users, verification of service users, and monitoring of service users."

Tokocrypto is a crypto asset investment and trading platform that implements KYC in its operations. There are two types of KYC, KYC Level 1 and KYC Level 2, with different daily withdrawal limits.

KYC Level 1

Every Tokocrypto customer is expected to complete KYC Level 1 to enjoy all the features Tokocrypto offers. With KYC Level 1, customers can:

  • Deposit a minimum of IDR 50,000.
  • Trade crypto assets.
  • Transfer between wallets.
  • Make withdrawals with a minimum of IDR 100,000 and a maximum of IDR 250,000,000 and 3 BTC (within a 24-hour transaction period).
  • Participate in Tokocrypto events and promotions.

KYC Level 2

After completing KYC Level 1, you can already trade and invest. However, if you wish to increase your withdrawal limits, you can upgrade to KYC Level 2. For KYC Level 2, please ensure an average daily transaction volume of IDR 250,000,000. With KYC Level 2, customers can:

  • Deposit a minimum of IDR 50,000.
  • Trade crypto assets with an average daily volume of IDR 250,000,000.
  • Transfer between wallets.
  • Make withdrawals with a minimum of IDR 100,000 and a maximum of IDR 5,000,000,000 and 100 BTC (within a 24-hour transaction period).
  • Participate in Tokocrypto events and promotions.
