What Are Advanced Micro Devices Tokenized bStocks (AMDB)?
Advanced Micro Devices Tokenized bStocks (AMDB) is a tokenized representation of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) stock, issued on BNB Smart Chain as part of the bStocks program. AMDB allows eligible crypto users to gain economic exposure to the performance of AMD stock without needing a traditional brokerage account.
What Is Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)?
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is one of the largest semiconductor companies in the world. Founded in 1969 by Jerry Sanders and former colleagues from Fairchild Semiconductor, AMD began its journey by manufacturing logic chips before expanding into a key player in the CPU and GPU industries.
During the 1970s and 1980s, AMD was known as a second-source supplier of chips compatible with Intel products. Over time, however, AMD emerged from Intel’s shadow and became a serious competitor in the processor market.
A Brief History of AMD
- 1969: Founded by Jerry Sanders in Sunnyvale, California
- 1970s: Manufactured RAM and chips compatible with Intel
- 2000s: Launched Athlon and Opteron — major successes in the CPU market
- 2006: Acquired ATI Technologies — entered the GPU market
- 2017: Launched the Zen architecture and Ryzen product line — a major comeback in consumer CPUs
- 2020s: Expanded into data centers with EPYC and AI accelerators with Instinct
- 2025–2026: AMD became one of the most valuable semiconductor companies in the world, with a market cap reaching approximately $800 billion
AMD’s Main Products
- Ryzen: CPU processors for desktop PCs and laptops. Ryzen was launched in 2017 based on the Zen architecture and became a turning point for AMD in the consumer market, competing directly with Intel Core.
- EPYC: Server processors for data centers. EPYC is designed for large-scale workloads such as cloud computing, virtualization, and high-performance computing.
- Radeon: A GPU line for gaming and professional use, originating from the acquisition of ATI Technologies in 2006. Radeon competes with NVIDIA GeForce in the consumer graphics market.
- Instinct: AI accelerators for data centers. The Instinct series, such as the MI300, is designed for training and inference of large-scale AI models, competing with the NVIDIA H100/H200.
Why Is AMD Important in the AI Era?
AMD is strategically positioned in the AI boom. With its Instinct AI accelerators and EPYC server CPUs, AMD has become a leading alternative to NVIDIA for global AI infrastructure. AMD CEO Lisa Su stated that AMD’s data center AI business generated $5 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow to tens of billions of dollars per year.
In fiscal year 2025, AMD reported total revenue of $34.6 billion, with data center revenue reaching $16.6 billion. AMD’s market cap surged from approximately $350 billion at the beginning of 2025 to approximately $800 billion as of September 2026, reflecting market enthusiasm for AMD’s position in the AI ecosystem.
What Are bStocks?
bStocks are tokenized securities products issued by BTECH Holdings Ltd, an affiliate of the Binance group. Each bStock token represents beneficial exposure to the underlying U.S. stock on a 1:1 basis. The underlying stocks are held in custody by a regulated custodian, while the tokens themselves are issued as BEP-20 assets on BNB Smart Chain.
bStocks allow users to trade fractional exposure to traditional stocks using crypto infrastructure, with the convenience of 24/7 trading and self-custody compatibility. For eligible users, bStocks can be converted 1:1 into the underlying stock without conversion fees.
How Does AMDB Work?
AMDB is the bStocks token for AMD stock. Here’s how it works:
- Underlying asset: Advanced Micro Devices stock (NASDAQ: AMD)
- Token standard: BEP-20 on BNB Smart Chain
- Issuer: BTECH Holdings Ltd
- Trading pair: AMDB/USDT
- Custody: The underlying stocks are held by a regulated custodian
When you buy AMDB, you are buying a tokenized claim that provides economic exposure to movements in AMD’s stock price. The token does not represent direct ownership of AMD stock, but rather a beneficial interest backed by the underlying stocks held in custody.
The Multiplier Mechanism
One of the key features of bStocks is the Multiplier mechanism. This is an on-chain adjustment factor that automatically reflects corporate actions — such as dividends and stock splits — in your token balance without requiring any manual action.
How dividends work:
- When AMD pays a dividend, the gross dividend is first subject to the applicable U.S. withholding tax (currently 30%)
- The net dividend amount is automatically reinvested into the underlying stocks
- Your AMDB balance increases proportionally through the Multiplier adjustment
- No cash is distributed to your account — the benefit is reflected through a higher token balance
- Net dividends are generally credited earlier than the traditional payment date
- The adjustment applies to every fractional token you hold
How stock splits work:
- In a stock split, the Multiplier adjusts the number of your tokens according to the split ratio
- For example, in a 2-for-1 split, the number of your tokens doubles and the price per token is cut in half
- The overall value of your position remains the same
Why Does U.S. Withholding Tax Apply?
Although Binance and Tokocrypto do not operate in the United States, U.S. withholding tax on dividends still applies because the underlying stocks are U.S. equities. Dividends paid by U.S. companies to non-U.S. holders are subject to withholding at the source — meaning the tax is deducted before the dividend amount reaches the token issuer or end user.
Within the bStocks structure, the tokens are held through an intermediary entity rather than in your individual name, so tax treaty benefits that could reduce the rate generally do not apply. As a result, the full 30% withholding rate is applied uniformly to all bStocks holders, regardless of their country of residence.

AMD’s Role in the Global Semiconductor and AI Ecosystem
AMD is one of the most important players in the global semiconductor supply chain. With its successful Zen architecture in the CPU market, EPYC driving server growth, and Instinct AI accelerators serving as a leading alternative to NVIDIA in the AI market, AMD has positioned itself as a multi-platform alternative for the world’s AI infrastructure.
Under the leadership of CEO Lisa Su, AMD has transformed from a company once considered to be "losing" to Intel into one of the most valuable semiconductor companies in the world. With AMDB, crypto users in Indonesia can gain exposure to the performance of AMD stock — and the AI growth story — directly from the Tokocrypto platform, bridging the gap between traditional equity markets and the digital asset ecosystem.
