Know Your Customer (KYC) is a crucial step in the user identity verification process for various digital services, including the Tokocrypto platform. For Foreign Nationals (WNA) who wish to become users on Tokocrypto, the KYC steps must be followed carefully.
After registration, you need to complete identity verification to be able to buy and sell crypto assets on Tokocrypto. Since Foreign Nationals (WNA) do not have an Indonesian ID card (KTP), a valid identification card and other supporting documents are required for KYC submission.
Required Documents for Foreign Nationals (WNA) for Tokocrypto KYC
Here are the documents Foreign Nationals need to prepare for KYC on Tokocrypto:
- Active passport
- Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS) or Permanent Stay Permit (KITAP)
Please note:
- Your passport and KITAS/KITAP must still be valid.
- Users without a KITAS/KITAP cannot submit KYC.
- Your passport and KITAS/KITAP are mandatory documents and cannot be replaced by other documents such as bank statements, E-Visas, local ID cards, local driving licenses, or similar documents.
Step-by-Step KYC Process on Tokocrypto (via Website)
Here are the steps to complete KYC on Tokocrypto via the website:
1. Log in to your registered Tokocrypto account.
2. Click the profile icon in the top right corner.
3. Go to the "KYC Verification" menu.
4. Under "Nationality," select "Foreign National," then click "Next."
5. On the next page, please complete the face verification.
6. Next, select the Issuing Country/Region, then upload your passport and KITAS/KITAP documents in the designated boxes. Please ensure they are correct and that their validity period is still current. Submissions with expired documents will likely result in a rejection of your verification process.
7. Click "Next" once the documents have been uploaded. Please ensure the uploaded documents are correct.
8. On the next page, please fill in your details exactly as they appear on your passport.
9. Click "Next" once your details are fully entered. You cannot proceed to the next step if the data is incorrect; please double-check your information and spelling.
10. Your KYC data will be processed and will take at least 1 business day.
